I made this mask for Story Theatre's production of "The Library Club". It had a mouth that hinged on springs if you bounced a bit so that you could get jaw movement without puppeteering it because the actor needed their hands free. It had two modes, it could be worn, or hoisted on a pole above the set to peek above the curtain.
